My inspiration for creating APAWLO Pets came from my beloved red cattle dog, Winnie.

Early on in owning, I found we were facing some tough challenges—a degenerative joint disease and severe reactivity after being attacked at a dog park.

Owning a reactive dog meant that even something as simple as a walk down the street wasn’t always possible. I found myself driving all over the city, searching for quiet parks, walking trails, and nature reserves where we could explore with enough space to work through her reactivity.

That’s what inspired our very first product: the multifunctional car seat cover.

Our active lifestyle and daily adventures brought Winnie so much joy—but my poor car took the brunt of it. Dirt, hair, sand, mud, drool—you name it, it was embedded in my seats! I wanted to spend less time cleaning and more time training, exploring, and enjoying life with Winnie.

Working through those training challenges also ignited my passion to help other dogs live their lives to the absolute fullest, too.
